NJ towns show up on Money magazine's "Best Places to Live" !!!

Ever wonder how proximity to an airport can affect your property value? Turns out, being close to an airport can land your town in Money magazines top 100 "Best Places to Live".  Part of the judging criteria, in addition to other factors, was access to airports! Click here to check out how they picked these towns.Two of the gorgeous New Jersey towns that made the top 100, Readington and Hillsborough, each have airports in them. Readington has Solberg Airport and Hillsborough has Central Jersey Regional Airport!!!

In fact, all of the top 10 towns on the list have easy, local access to airports. We always knew how valuable airport proximity was, now Money magazine has validated this for us. Congratulations to our beautiful NJ Towns.

Significant pre-planning includes Aviation in fighting California wildfires!

In many areas of the country, Airports are viewed as critical resources for responding to medical emergencies and national disasters.  In California, Van Nuys Airport is THE staging base for the considerable resources of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.  These aircraft were heavily used during the recent Wildfires that ravaged the state from San Diego through Los Angeles.  The enduring image of Hurricane Katrina will forever be the rooftop rescues of thousands by helicopter.  This was also seen in New Jersey during Hurricane Floyd, where Coast Guard Helicopters used Central Jersey Regional Airport for fuel and support.
